In the summer months there is a network of marked hiking trails in varied, rolling mountain terrain, birch forests, open terrain and over 30 mountain peaks are within hiking distance.

The mountain offers a wide selection of activities for the whole family, from fishing to horseback riding. Take contact with the reception to plan you next adventure.
How to get here
Take a plane from you destination to OSL Gardermoen Airport.
Continue the journey by train with VY Train from Gardermoen Airport (Oslo Lufthavn) to Ringebu Station, approx 2,5 hours.
Last step is to take a taxi from Ringebu Station to the hotel, approx 25 minutes, tel. +47 61 28 07 10.

Horseback riding
Venavind offer riding holidays and weekends, full-day rides, 1-, 2-, 3- and 4 hr rides, instructed classes in the arena, lead pony rides for young children, as well as sleigh and carriage rides. They aim to give you the horseback experience of a lifetime!
Mountain biking
Venabygdsfjellet is for many a well kept secret for mountain biking. In 2016, the Norwegian magazine “Terrengsykkel” joined a guided tour which resulted in a front page picture and a 14 page article. Enjoy a relaxed family trip or an adrenaline filled mountain bike adventure on Venabygdsfjellet!

Every summer and autumn you can hunt poles on Venabygdsfjellet. Collect as many points as you can on each trip!. You can buy a map at our reception or at one of the other accommodation companies on the mountain. You can also download the app and register bars digitally.
