Just a stone’s throw away from the untamed wilderness that is the Rondane National Park, we nestle on a plateau, commanding far-reaching views.

Mountains over 2,000 metres high line the horizon to the north, perfectly framing the expansive panorama. A well devised network of intersecting cross-country trails starts from the doorstep and criss-crosses the plateau, catering exceptionally well for beginners and improvers, as well as for families, and providing intermediate skiers with countless options.

Your base for all this, the Spidsbergseter, retains much of the character of the old family farm from which it has been converted. In our new incarnation as a hotel, we have earned an enviable reputation for our restaurant; our buffets of Norwegian fare are legendary. This, plus excellent facilities that include an indoor pool complex, make it a pleasure to return to after a day on the trails. You can even sip traditional Norwegian spirits beneath the aged wooden rafters of the former goat barn, now the world’s only aquavit barn!

How to get here

Take a plane from you destination to OSL Gardermoen Airport.

Continue the journey by train with VY Train from Gardermoen Airport (Oslo Lufthavn) to Ringebu Station, approx 2,5 hours.

Last step is to take a taxi from Ringebu Station to the hotel, approx 25 minutes, tel. +47 61 28 07 10.
